An interesting day in March Break

My husband and I took our daughter to the maple syrup festival in Bruce Mills Conservation Area on March 21. It was cold and cloudy, but we had an interesting time. There was a huge wagon draged by two brown horses, we took it for a short drive. My daughter was very curious about how the horses could be so strong and what they ate. It was the first time she walked along the trial, rode a pony and fed animals, she was excited about everything except the introduction of making maple syrup, which was the reason we were there. Anyway,we still learned some knowledge about maple syrup, such as Canada was the main producer, sugar maple trees were the best kind of trees for producing syrup, almost 40 litres sap could produce 1 litres syrup, and so on.
It was a short , but amazing visit, especially for my daughter. It reminded me of my childhood in chinese countryside .
